Insulation is easy to overlook until you wear a jacket for real. Not on a perfectly cold day, but in the messy in-between. Walking in wind, stepping into a warm room, carrying a bag, moving fast, slowing down. The best insulation is the one you stop thinking about.
For Never Know, Isosoft became that standard. We use it because it is reliable in daily wear, stable over time, and comfortable across changing conditions.
Warmth without bulk
Isosoft delivers strong warmth for its weight. It lets us build pieces that feel light and mobile, not stiff or overbuilt. You get protection without turning the garment into something heavy.
This matters especially for shirt jackets and hooded outerwear that are meant to layer. The goal is warmth that stays quiet inside the construction, not volume that changes the silhouette.
Comfort across temperature changes
A jacket should keep you warm outdoors, but it should also be wearable indoors. Isosoft is designed to be breathable and moisture-regulating, which helps maintain a more comfortable body climate. In practice, it means the insulation feels less “sealed” and less stuffy during movement or transitions.
This is the difference between a garment you wear because it looks good and a garment you keep wearing because it feels right.
Stability over time
Insulation should keep its structure. It should not clump, collapse, or shift after repeated use. Isosoft is built to remain dimensionally stable and to retain its shape, even with frequent wear and washing.
That stability matters for warmth, but also for the garment itself. When insulation stays even, the jacket keeps its intended balance and drape.
Practical care
We design outerwear to be worn often. That means care cannot be precious. Isosoft is a practical insulation and can handle machine washing when the garment construction and materials allow it.
We always recommend following the care label inside your piece. The right settings depend on shell fabric, lining, trims, and quilting. If you ever want guidance for your exact garment, email us and we will advise.
Skin-friendly, considered materials
We aim for materials that feel good in daily wear and make sense for long-term use. Isosoft is commonly used in performance and outerwear applications, including products made for more sensitive use. Many versions are certified to standards such as OEKO-TEX, which is one of the reasons we trust it in garments worn close to the body.
We prefer to speak in facts rather than slogans. The point is simple. This insulation is consistent, dependable, and comfortable.
Our insulation weights
We use two weights depending on the garment and season.
Isosoft 90 gsm
Used for lighter insulation. Recommended for approximately 68 to 32°F (+20 to 0°C).
You will find it in our liner pieces and demi-seasonal hooded jackets.
Isosoft 150 gsm
Used for colder conditions. Recommended for approximately 59 to 5°F (+15 to -15°C).
You will find it in our shirt jackets and winter hooded jackets.
These ranges are guidance, not a guarantee. Comfort depends on wind, humidity, layering, and how you run temperature. We choose the weights to keep the garment versatile, not extreme.
Why we keep coming back to it
Made-to-order and small production only matter if the product stays good with time. Isosoft supports that goal. Warmth without bulk, comfort in real use, stable structure, and practical care. The kind of performance that disappears into the experience.
